About Polen
There's more than one band under the name Polen:
1- Polen is an electro/rock 4-piece band from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Polen stands up with a new trend of live act full of energy, a fusion between loud guitars and strong synths which makes us compare them with bands like Soulwax, Digitalism, Does It Offend You, Yeah? among others.
Nowadays, the band owns two free distribution EPs: "Metamorphy" (2008) and "Compressor" (2009) and is planning to release a new single "Drop the Line" (2010) next June.
Polen is formed by Pol Goz (lead vocals, guitar, synth),
Ivana Lapolla (bass guitar, drums)
Carla Nastri (programming, synth),
Sebastian Reinholz (drums, bass guitar)
and Ivan Flugelman (visuals).

2- Polen es la unión de cuatro caracteres de diversas extracciones, Polen es un proyecto artÃstico subvencionado desde el inconsciente de una quinta misteriosa persona, quien comunica sus caprichos a través de un extasiado médium. Ellos prefieren no develar su nombre para no traicionar la relación de extrema confianza que los atañe.
Los cuatro integrantes son: Pablo Gomez, guitarra, voz y alma en hipoteca; Maxi Urrutia, guitarra emotiva; Pablo Mateu, bajo y perdición; Sebastián Reinholz, baterÃa, golpes y religión.
Abrazados por un profundo sentimiento de caos, los cuatro se definen a sà mismos como seguidores de la cultura afro-canadiense, que además de ser bonita se come...
Sin caer en definiciones estilÃsticas ni de Ãndole socio-culturales, Polen es un ámbito ideal para la impresión de un estÃmulo determinado y fugaz que comparece ante ellos como por sacro designio. Impresionistas musicales, los definió el pintor ArÃstides Lobos, luz y colores; sombras y oscuridad, agregó luego.
Guitarras de antigua forja que buscan cortar el aire como serruchos filosos, pueden oÃrse atravesar sus melodiosas composiciones, mientras desde fondo de las calderas del infierno brotan explosiones que dan vida a sus implacables ritmos acompañados fielmente por una vibración grave que retuerce el pecho de los presentes.
Sobre este promiscuo espectáculo puede escucharse una voz de delicadas propiedades y textura, como dictada por quien supo alguna vez ser el Ãngel más bello, ahora maldito.
El objetivo de su musa consiste en la restauración de los valores artÃsticos e ideales estéticos que los vieron crecer, empujándolos a tan quijotesca y desigual empresa.
Lograrán su cometido?
